A man is in hospital after sustaining a serious head injury in a disturbance outside a bar in Swanage.
The incident in the early hours of this morning has led to three people being arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said they received a report at 12.36am on Sunday June 12 relating to a disturbance outside the East Bar in High Street, Swanage.
"It was reported that three men had been assaulted. One of the men sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Another victim sustained a facial injury and the third man sustained bruising to his side.
"An investigation was launched by detectives from Dorset County CID and, following enquiries, three local men – aged 28, 30 and 43 – have been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
"Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing."
