MORE than 50 THOUSAND people descended on the beaches across BCP yesterday, as Britain made the most of the high temperatures and clear, blue skies.
As many as 55,000 people arrived at the beaches yesterday, including Mudeford Sandbank beach, Alum Chine beach and Southbourne beach.
Of those 55,000 people, Bournemouth beach was the busiest as people soaked up the sun and played in the sea.
The council believe approximately 25,000 to 30,000 people arrived at the popular beach.

People from as far as Liverpool said they came down yesterday, with cheap flights into Bournemouth Airport being a reason to visit.
As well as the huge footfall, 651 deck chairs, 189 parasols and 325 sunbeds were rented.
Temperatures soared to a sizzling 27C on Friday, June 17 on what is the hottest day of the year so far.
Thousands more people are predicted to come to Bournemouth this weekend as people are off work.
