A MAN from Poole has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after he assaulted a woman in Basingstoke.
Daniels Veldre, aged 27 and of Bournemouth Road, was alleged to have committed the assault by beating in the Hampshire town on February 19.
Veldre pleaded guilty to the single charge at a hearing on May 15 and he was sentenced at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on June 24.
The defendant was issued with an 18-month community order, which included requirements to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and take part in up to 35 days of rehabilitation activity.
He was also ordered to pay a £95 surcharge and £85 costs.
