Man visits four Lego stores in four countries in one day

Iain Grant, 51, from New Milton took a trip around Europe travelling 486 miles in one day to visit four different Lego stores, buying an item from each of them. 

Iain, a payroll administrator, said: "My love for Lego started as a child, I got my first set when I was about six. 

"When I got older, I lost a bit of interest but then in the late 2000's, they started to sell these Lego modular buildings which really got me back into it."

Iain and his partner Antony visited the four stores on Tuesday, June 28.

Iain said: "There was no real reason behind it, I just thought it would be something fun to do.

"I was on holiday in Denmark visiting the Lego headquarters which was built about four or five years ago. I've wanted to visit for a while but never got a chance because of Covid. 

"Whilst I was there, I was thinking of some other Lego based things I could do, and I've often thought about visiting multiple stores in one day.

"I took my car with me on the Eurotunnel and then drove in between the stores.

"Lego stores are fairly similar wherever you go, but I just thought it would be a weird and quirky thing to do.

"I was with my partner Antony, who is less interested in Lego than I am, but I dragged him along for the ride.

"It is a bit strange to be so interested in Lego at my age, but Lego has diversified and marketed a lot of its products to adults too.

"I have a YouTube channel as a bit of a side thing, I have a lot of video footage from the trip so ill be putting that together and posting the video in the next few days."
