A MAN has been fined by the courts for a fisheries offence committed at a lake in New Milton.
Paul Baldock, 40 and of Hurn Road, Matchams, was alleged to have fished or taken fish otherwise than in accordance with a licence by means of a rod and line at Orchard Lakes on December 6, 2020.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the offence, which was dealt with at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on June 29 following a prosecution by the Environment Agency.
Baldock was fined £72 and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and £135 costs.
