A BOURNEMOUTH beach volleyball star is preparing to represent Team England at the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
31-year-old Jess Grimson has been successful in the beach volleyball Selection Tournament, seeing her put forward to ‘bring it home’ for Team England.
Jess will be flying the flag with partner Daisy Mumby, at what will be her second Commonwealth games.
Her first games in 2018 were also beach volleyball’s Commonwealth debut.
Jess said: “To have been in the first Commonwealth Games for beach volleyball was huge. To be at home in front of a home crowd and hopefully showcase beach volleyball in our country and show what we can do from the girls and boys point of view – I can’t wait, I’m so excited.”
They will play in front of the Smithfield crowds in the centre of Birmingham from Saturday July 30 to Sunday August 7.
