A SEX offender has been fined by the courts for travelling to Spain without notifying police.
David Martin Greaves, aged 71, was caught committing the breach at Gatwick Airport in Sussex on April 11 this year.
Greaves, whose address was given as Muscliffe Road, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to a single charge of failing to comply with the notification requirements as someone who was on the sex offenders register.
He appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 4, where he was fined £120 by the bench.
The defendant was also ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.
