THREE separates cases involving people who boarded trains without valid tickets have seen courts hand each of the offenders financial bills of more than £400.

The three defendants were all dealt with under the single justice procedure in a closed-doors process which they were not present for at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on June 21.

The following details outline the offences and the penalties dished out in each case.

Josh Cross, 27 and of Southcote Road, Bournemouth, was proved to have boarded a train without a valid ticket at New Milton on November 30 last year. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £5.50 compensation, £34 surcharge and £160 costs.

Felix Brown, 25 and of Norwich Avenue West, Bournemouth, was convicted entering a train without a valid ticket at Bournemouth on November 20, 2021. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £21.10 compensation, £34 surcharge and £160 costs.

Louise Clatworthy, 40 and of Hoyal Road, Poole, was provided to have entered a train without a valid ticket at Lymington Town on November 29, 2021. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £9.80 compensation, £34 surcharge and £160 costs.
