A MAN has appeared in court to be urinating in the grounds of a Bournemouth town centre church and causing distress.
Darrin James Lavery, aged 54, was alleged to have committed the offence at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Albert Road, Bournemouth, on April 19.
Lavery, whose address was given as Tower Road, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to the offence under the Ecclesiastical Courts Jurisdiction Act 1860 at a Poole Magistrates’ Court hearing.
The defendant, who appeared in the dock on Thursday, July 7, was discharged conditionally for six months.
He was ordered to pay a £22 surcharge and £85 costs.
