Drivers are being told to avoid the A351 at Holton Heath this morning after a crane overturned.
Police say the road has been closed while the vehicle is recovered.
A spokesperson said: "The A351 Wareham Road has been closed following an RTC at Holton Heath involving a crane that has overturned.
"The road has been closed at the Bakers Arms roundabout while the vehicle is recovered. No injuries."
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service also posted to say they were dealing with a vehicle fire.
"We’re dealing with a large vehicle on fire on the A351 near Holton Heath.
"The road will be blocked for some time while vehicle recovery takes place. Please avoid the area this morning."
The closure of the road is likely to cause delays for drivers travelling through Dorset today.
Police and fire crews are on the scene.
Traffic information service Inrix said: "A351 Sandford Road both ways partially blocked due to lorry fire between Blackhill Road and Organford Road."
