A COMPETITION has been launched for youngsters to secure a spot at the front of the Ringwood Carnival processions this year.

Organisers are ramping up preparations as the event returns to the New Forest town for the first time since 2019.

Ringwood Carnival is giving someone the chance to be their ‘ambassador’ and open the two processions, led by Sampson’s Percheron horses.

The ambassador competition is open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 21 that has a real connection with Ringwood and its community.
