A MAN has been arrested after a woman was reportedly assaulted following a row at a pub in Bournemouth.
The woman sustained a minor injury during the incident which occurred as the pair walked down Milford Drive sometime between 9.30pm and 10pm on Monday, July 11.
It was reported that the man and woman, who were known to each other, had been drinking outside the Bear Cross pub in Magna Road during the afternoon and evening and were involved in a verbal altercation before the assault reportedly happened.
Following enquiries by officers, a 48-year-old Poole man was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police Constable Rhiannon House, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed a verbal altercation outside the Bear Cross pub on the evening of Monday 11 July 2022, or the alleged assault in the area of Milford Drive.
“I would also urge residents in the area to please check any home CCTV systems or doorbell camera footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
