A POPULAR music festival is set to return to Poole this month- and with some impressive headliners.
Preparation is underway for this year’s Poole Harbour Festival, the town’s biggest and best music event.
The three-day festival will be held on July 29, 30 and 31 at Baiter Park, and is set to draw huge crowds.
Festival director Ben Dyas said: “This year we've pulled out all the stops to makes sure Poole Harbour Festival is bigger and better than ever before.
More than 40 acts are due to appear across four stages, with headliners including 90s legends Republica and K-Klass and 21st century pop-rock stars Scouting For Girls.
Festival goers can also enjoy sensational Bristol dance music fusionists Dr Meaker, a host of top DJs including a reunion of the legendary Manor DJs, and stellar tributes to the likes of Elton John, Queen, Foo Fighters, Muse, Oasis and Meat Loaf.
There will also be free children's entertainment all weekend with Rent A Dinosaur, Jamie Jambo, Krazy Kev, Mad 4 Animals, and Jules the Entertainer, as well as street performers and the popular circus skills workshops.
Ben Dyas said: "We can't wait to welcome our regulars back again because we know they love our mix of great music, great family entertainment and great food and drink, but we're also looking forward to meeting lots of new people and showing them why Poole Harbour Festival is well established as the jewel in the crown of summer in Poole."
As well its incredible music, Poole Harbour Festival is also praised for the food and drink it offers. This year's selection is said to be “better than ever.”
"We like to make sure there's something to keep everyone busy all weekend and this year we've also made room for even more traders, arts, crafts and design stalls," adds Ben.
"And with weekend tickets starting at just £27 for adults or £45 for families, plus a host of drinks bundles offers that can be bought in advance we've made sure we're the region's best value summer festival as well!"
Poole Harbour Festival opens at 5pm on Friday, noon on Saturday and 11am on Sunday, closing at 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.
