A LUXURY leather goods retailer has closed its store in the centre of Ringwood after three years of hampered trading.

Osprey London shut for good in Ringwood’s Furlong shopping centre on Tuesday, July 12, following a “mutual” decision from the building landlord and Osprey to part ways.

The shop, which sold handcrafted leather goods and gifts such as handbags, opened in Ringwood during the summer of 2019 where they were described as “a great addition to [the] Ringwood family”.

However, disruption soon followed with the impact of the Covid pandemic the following year and subsequent staff shortages.

This means Osprey London has become the third retailer in the Furlong to close this year following Aga and Toys of Ringwood. Although the Aga site was quickly taken on by Sweaty Betty and Toys will become a Clarendon Fine Art gallery in the near future.
