A MUSIC concert due to be held at a New Forest hotel next week has been cancelled.
Pop rock band Tears for Fears were scheduled to perform at the Chewton Glen in New Milton on Tuesday, July 19.
However, it has been announced the show will no longer be going ahead as band member Curt Smith has been told to rest due to a fractured rib.
In a statement, Senbla, the event organisers on behalf of Tears for Fears, said: "Following further examination of Curt’s rib fracture, doctors have advised that his injury requires strict rest to recover.
“As such, it is with a heavy heart that we must cancel the remaining shows of The Tipping Point UK Tour.
“We have absolutely loved seeing everyone and performing for you.
"We are so disappointed not to be able to play the shows which we have been looking forward to for so long and can’t wait to be performing for you again.
“Please contact your point of purchase for a full ticket refund.”
Anyone with a query relating to the concert is advised to contact info@senbla.com.
The date formed part of the band’s The Tipping Point World Tour with singer Alison Moyet joining them as a special guest.
It comes after a performance by Michael Ball and Alfie Boe which was due to go ahead last week at Chewton Glen had to be cancelled after Michael Ball was struck down with Covid.
