A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a hit and run crash in Poole this morning.
The crash involving a car and a motorbike in Commercial Road was reported to police at 6.47am.
The driver of the car reportedly left the scene.
Officers attended and the road was closed for more than an hour following the incident.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 6.47am on Monday 18 July 2022 of a collision involving a car and a motorbike in Commercial Road in Poole.
"Emergency services attended and the road was closed between the junctions with Station Road and Parr Street.
“It is reported that the driver of the car left the scene and enquiries are ongoing to locate him.
“The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment. The vehicles were recovered and the road reopened at around 8.30am.”
