A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in Bournemouth on suspicion of wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm.
It is reported that a man approached a man, aged in his 20s, while in possession of a machete and assaulted him in Hawthorn Road, Bournemouth, at around 11.30pm on Tuesday, July 12.
A male member of public, aged in his 50s, reportedly intervened and sustained a stab wound and was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew.
Following enquires, Dorset Police made the arrest of a 22-year-old man, of no fixed abode, on suspicion of wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
