THE countdown is on to the 14th Bournemouth Air Festival.
Billed as ‘The Platinum Jubilee Bournemouth Air Festival', this year’s event will mark the Queen’s 70 years of service to the UK and Commonwealth.
A host of displays will take place across four days in September.

Last year's event attracted around 800,000 people.

When is the Air Festival taking place?
This year’s event will be held between Thursday, September 1 and Sunday, September 4.
Who will be flying?
Displays confirmed so far are:
- The RAF Red Arrows
- RAF Typhoon
- The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
- Chinook
- Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team
- Jet Pitts Muscle Bi Plane
- The Blades

When can I see the Red Arrows?
The Red Arrows are always a big hit at the Air Festival.
In a repeat of last year's event, the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will take to the skies over Bournemouth and Poole on all four days of the event.
The performances over the south coast are due to be one of 32 events attended by the Red Arrows this summer.

When can I see the Typhoon?
The Typhoon will also be appearing across all four days.

Who will be performing the dusk display?
The Typhoon will be flying at night with The Tigers also set to wow the crowds.
Organisers say more aircraft are set to be announced this year.
What have organisers said?
Speaking earlier this year, Jon Weaver, Air Festival director, said: “We look forward to welcoming everyone’s favourite - the incredible, world-famous RAF Red Arrows this year.
“We’re so pleased to be also welcoming back the Typhoon and BBMF.
“Along with these headlining acts, this year is shaping up to be one of the best we have ever had, and we’re looking forward to making more exciting announcements to festival programme over the coming months.”
