ARMED police are in attendance at an ongoing incident in Ferndown which saw a main road closed off.

Within the last hour, police closed a section of Ringwood Road in Ferndown near Sainsbury’s in response to an incident.

Several people are reported to have been arrested according to motorists and witnesses. One man described seeing at least 12 police officers, including armed police, on the scene.

The section of road has since reopened.
