THIRTEEN people were arrested on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons in the Ferndown area on Wednesday night, July 20.
Police said officers were carrying out a pre-planned operation and stopped a number of vehicles at Trickett’s Cross roundabout.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “At 6.37pm on Wednesday 20 July 2022 officers conducted a pre-planned operation and stopped a number of vehicles at Trickett’s Cross roundabout.
“During the operation 13 people were arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons.”
As reported by the Daily Echo, police closed a section of Ringwood Road in Ferndown near Sainsbury’s.
Motorists and witnesses reported seeing several people arrested with one man describing seeing at least 12 police officers, including armed police, on the scene.
