A MAN was left with lacerations after reportedly being assaulted in Bournemouth.

The incident, in which a man was reportedly attacked by two or three other men, happened at around 8pm on Tuesday, July 19, in Meyrick Road near Gervis roundabout.

The victim, a 23-year-old man from Bournemouth, sustained several lacerations to his body.

Following enquiries, a 26-year-old man and two 20-year-old men – all from Bournemouth – were arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail.

Detectives investigating the reported assault are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Charlotte Staples, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to the incident to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to hear from two people – a man and a woman – who I believe were in the area at the time and tried to intervene. They might have important information that could assist my investigation.”
