A WOMAN has been handed a court bill of more than £200 for failing to comply with a red traffic light signal.
Tessa Alexandra Blades pleaded guilty through the single justice procedure to the offence, which was committed on the A270 Lewes Road junction with Coldean Lane in Brighton on April 4.
Papers from Crawley Magistrates’ Court said that Blades was at the wheel of a Peugeot motor vehicle when she committed the crime.
Blades, 38 and of Strouden Road, Bournemouth, was not present for the closed-doors hearing on Monday, July 18.
A lone magistrate issued an £80 fine along with an order to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
The defendant’s driving record was endorsed with three points.
