A police cordon is in place in part of Poole following the sudden death of a man in the woods in Branksome on Tuesday morning.
Police were called to the scene off Lakeside Road in Poole around 7.19am following reports of a sudden death of a man.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 7.19am on Tuesday 26 July to reports of the sudden death of a man in woods off Lakeside Road in Poole.
"Officers have attended the scene and a cordon is in place. The man’s next of kin are yet to be informed.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and enquiries are being carried out on behalf of HM Coroner."
A cordon is in place off Lakeside Road, with access to Branksome beach restricted from the road as well.
Forensic officers are also on the scene.
