THE Norfolk Royale Hotel in Richmond Hill was evacuated after a false alarm prompted fire crews to attend the Bournemouth hotel.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were at called at 1.36pm on Wednesday, July 27 after alarms went off in the hotel.
Firemen attended to discover the alarm had been set off from cooking fumes from an extractor fan.
Two fire engines from Poole and Ferndown attended the hotel.
A spokeswoman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Servicxe said: "This ended up being a false alarm (good intent). Crews from Poole (x2) and Ferndown were mobilised to a residential property on Richmond Hill, Bournemouth at 1.36pm this afternoon following reports of an alarm sounding in a roof void.
"On arrival, firefighters investigated but there were no signs of fire – cooking fumes from an extractor fan had activated the alarm. Our stop came at 2.12pm."
