A FENCE fire spread to nearby bushes along a busy Bournemouth road on Monday evening, August 1.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in Castle Lane East at around 8.10pm.
The fire involved around 10m of fence panels before spreading to bushes nearby.
It was dealt with by around 8.30pm.
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 8.11pm yesterday evening about a fire in the open, involving trees and fencing on Castle Lane East, Bournemouth.
“One crew from Springbourne attended the incident, finding 10m of fence panels well alight, with the flames spreading to adjacent bushes.”
The spokesperson added: “The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets – our stop came at 8.28pm.”
