YOUTHS aged between 12 and 16 years old have been visited by the police, after a recent spate of damage to buses in Poole caused services to be temporarily withdrawn.

Dorset Police’s Poole Neighbourhood Policing Team and Morebus have been working together to create Operation Omnibus.

The operation has enabled more officers to patrol the streets and buses of Rossmore Estate and the entire BH12 postcode area, utilising a range of different tactics.

A spokesperson for Poole Police said: “The community will have seen Officers in cars, on foot, on the buses and at prominent community sites suffering similar issues with the same group of youths.
