AN independent bike shop that has become the ultimate pit stop for cyclists- Pedal Cycles is Trader of the Week.
Located in Ferndown, Pedal Cycles is a two-floor store, workshop and café that offers cyclists a shopping experience followed by a bite to eat.
The premises is run by a small team of workers, managed by general manager Steve Maultby.
Steve said: “We’re customer focused, we just try and make everyone happy. As long as you’re doing that, then you can’t go wrong.”
Visitors to the shop can browse between e-bikes, commuter bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, folding bikes and kids bikes, as well as cycling helmets, clothing, shoes, glasses, gloves and much more.
They can also take advantage of the Pedal Cycles in store repair service.
Many visiting cyclists choose to enjoy the café whilst their bikes are in repair, with a generous selection of cakes, snacks and drinks on offer, and two spacious seating areas for customers.
Steve said: “People nip in for a quick repair or a shop, and they can sit down and have a coffee and a tea, or people use it as a stop or base on a ride.

"But you tend to find a lot of cyclists just love coffee and a cake, so it works well."
Pedal Cycles also organises weekly shop rides, where every Saturday, a team of cyclists embark on either mountain bike, gravel or road rides.
The rides typically take place starting and finishing at the shop, and cyclists have the oppportunity to socialise in the cafe afterwards.
The team has described the rides as being ‘very inclusive’, catering to all levels and ensuring that nobody gets left behind.
Steve said: “We have a lot of regulars, and a lot of them come for the shop rides.

"Wherever it’s a mountain bike or a gravel ride, there’s something going on.
