A MAN has been charged in connection with an alleged dangerous driving incident in Poole in the early hours of Saturday morning.
At around 2.05am on Saturday, August 13, officers saw a grey Ford Focus reportedly travel through a red light on Lindsay Road at the junction with Leicester Road.
The officers followed the vehicle onto Alder Road and requested for it to stop.
It is alleged the driver failed to stop and made off along Herbert Avenue, Dorset Way and onto Holes Bay where it came to a stop.
A 22-year-old man from Poole was arrested and has been charged with failing to stop for officers, dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit.
He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Police Constable Hannah van der Eyken, of Poole police, said: “I am appealing to any motorists who were travelling along any of these roads at around 2am on Saturday 13 August 2022 and either witnessed the incident or captured any of it on dashcam to please contact Dorset Police.”
