A MAN arrested on suspicion of murder following the “unexplained” death of a woman in Poole has been released on bail.
Police were called to reports of the sudden death of a woman at an address in East Quay Road in Poole town centre at 8.30am on Saturday morning.
A 44-year-old man from Poole, who was known to the victim, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Giving an update on Sunday, police said the 44-year-old man has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police were called at 8.30am on Saturday to reports of the sudden death of a woman at an address in East Quay Road in Poole.
Officers attended, alongside the ambulance and fire services with a cordon put in place.
The woman's death is being treated as unexplained.
Dorset Police said: “There will be an increased police presence in the area while these enquiries are progressed and officers from the local neighbourhood policing team can be approached by members of the community with any specific concerns or issues.”
Forensic officers could be seen at the property on Saturday.
