A NUMBER of years ago you kindly published a letter from myself bemoaning the state of Bournemouth Airport as the ‘Portakabin of holiday misery’ – with an unlimited number of schemes to induce anger, frustration and general despair amongst its victims (customers).
I would now like the opportunity to repent my words and extol the delights of Bournemouth International Airport.
As a regular traveller I am more than qualified in the eye-poppingly painful experience of most UK airports and as such my wife and myself decided that our family holiday would be flying from a local airport to... wherever they fly to.
No long drive, no airport parking, no transfers etc.
Well, goodness me, citizens of Dorset, I can only advise you to admonish thoughts of using alternative options.
Hurn Airport (a rose by any other name, is still a rose) was clean, efficient, friendly and fast.
I might even say it was a joy (and I hate airports).
Well done to whoever has done this, although it will make using other UK airports an increased misery in comparison.
