A DRIVER had a "lucky" escape after a single vehicle crash in north Dorset late on Thursday night.
The crash on the A350 near Shaftesbury was reported to police shortly before midnight.
Officers at the scene said the driver of the Honda had been “lucky”.
The incident caused “dramatic damage” to the vehicle with airbags deployed.
No serious injuries were reported.
The road was cleared just after 1.30am.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.48pm on Thursday 18 August 2022 to a report of a single vehicle collision involving a Honda on the A350 north of Shaftesbury.
“No serious injuries reported. Vehicle recovered and road cleared at around 1.35am today.”
A spokesperson for North Dorset Police thanked members of the public for their patience while the incident was dealt with.
