EMERGENCY services have closed a road whilst responding to a man on a bridge in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report shortly after midday on Tuesday raising concern for the welfare of a man on a bridge at Richmond Hill.
The A338 was closed while officers responded to the incident.
The man was brought to safety at around 12.30pm and was taken to receive the appropriate the care.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place."
