PIZZA HUT has now been demolished to make way for a second McDonald’s restaurant to open in Christchurch.
The Pizza Hut building at Christchurch Retail Park off Barrack Road has now been flattened by contractors.
As reported, planning permission has already been obtained for a McDonald's outlet and drive-thru premises to be built on the site.
It will be the second in Christchurch, alongside the established restaurant in Somerford Road.

In a statement earlier this year, a McDonald’s spokesperson said: “We are excited about getting on site and starting building works in Christchurch and look forward to opening in the winter."
The demolished Pizza Hut closed its doors back in November 2021 due to a decision that was "out of our control".
The application, which was submitted by retail park owner St James Place Trust, was approved by BCP Council’s planning committee in September last year.
