A HOMELY country pub located on Burts Hill, Wimborne - The Horns Inn is Pub of the Week.
Located in the beautiful Dorset countryside, on the outskirts of Wimborne, The Horns Inn has become the perfect pit stop to enjoy a cold drink or a "good quality" meal.
The dog-friendly pub has a spacious outdoor area with a kids' play area and plenty of outdoor tables.
The Horns Inn offers an abundance of live music events, entertainment evenings and get-togethers, with "something for everyone".
The pub's new manager Richard Whitaker started on August 11. He wants to focus on maintaining the cosy, welcoming atmosphere that makes customers feel at home.
Richard, who is originally from Yorkshire, recently decided to relocate here after "falling in love with Dorset" while on a visit. When the chance to run the pub presented itself, he "couldn't turn it down."
Richard said: "The pub has a number of unique selling points to offer.
"It's rare to get a pub with such a nice outdoor space."
The pub "prides" itself on serving good quality traditional British food, ranging from fresh local meat and fish to traditional favourites and Sunday roasts.
Richard has put his Yorkshire touch on the menu by adding Yorkshire tapas to the menu.
Although Richard has only been on the premises for a matter of weeks, he has been quick to get stuck in and has lots of ideas for the future.
Richard added: "We have lots of things to combat at the moment with rising energy costs so we are going to make sure to keep delivering great service to drive customers through the door.
"I want to try and change the dynamic here to make people feel even more at home.
"The restaurant area is now referred to as the lounge, I have put a few sofas to make the area feel more relaxed."
On Fridays, the pub runs a meat raffle that is "extremely popular" in the community.
You can visit The Horns Inn seven days a week at Burt's Hill, Wimborne BH21 7AA.
