POPULAR burger restaurant chain Five Guys has confirmed its new site in Poole will open before the end of the year.
As reported, an application has been launched to transform the vacant restaurant site in Yarrow Road – just outside the main Tower Park entertainment complex – into a Five Guys burger restaurant.
Until closing in 2020, the site was previously home to a Frankie & Benny’s.
Following enquiries by the Echo, a Five Guys spokesperson confirmed that “work has begun on the brand’s much-awaited Poole restaurant” ahead of opening in autumn.
A spokesperson said: “American burger brand Five Guys is set to open a new restaurant in the coming months in Poole.
“With over 250,000 possible burger order combinations which use only the freshest ingredients, as well as the over 1,000 possible ways to customise your very own milkshake, Five Guys is sure to become a must-visit restaurant for Poole foodies when it opens its doors in [autumn] 2022.”
At present, the upcoming Poole site would be one of the largest in the area and provide seating for 106 diners – including an external seating area.
It will be the third Five Guys restaurant to open in the BCP region and the first in Poole.
