OFFICERS searching for a missing Bournemouth man have found a body in the water in Poole Harbour.
Dorset Police issued a public appeal to assist in their searches for 40-year-old Oliver Devereux.
He had been reported missing at around 12am on Thursday, September 1.
Providing an update on Thursday evening, a Dorset Police spokesperson said the force received a report at around 10.25am that a body had been found in the water in Poole Harbour.
The body was recovered from the water and, while formal identification has yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Mr Devereux.
The spokesperson said his family had been informed and their thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been notified.
"We would like to thank HM Coastguard and the RNLI for their assistance during the searches," the spokesperson said.
