PROCLAMATION readings for King Charles III and services of remembrance for the Queen will take place across Dorset and the New Forest on Sunday, September 11.
A number of special events will be held across the area with residents invited to attend.
Here is a round-up of what’s happening where and when.
Bournemouth
Civic Leaders and representatives of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole will gather this Sunday at the BCP Civic Centre to proclaim the accession of the new monarch.

Christchurch
Members of the public are welcome to attend.
The Priory Church will be open from 8am till 9pm, to enable anyone who wishes to sign books of condolence, light a candle and say a prayer.
Flowers can also be placed on the grass to the left of the main entrance to the Priory.
Wimborne
On Sunday, September 11 and again on Sunday, September 18 at 9.30am there will be a service of holy communion during the period of mourning. These are in place of the normal Parish Eucharist service.
Members of the public are welcome to attend both of these events.

Ferndown
The Mayor of Ferndown, Councillor Lawrence Wilson, will be reading the Proclamation of the Accession of HM King Charles lll at 4pm by the flag outside the Town Council Offices at the Barrington Centre. Residents are invited to attend.
Shaftesbury
The deputy mayor, Cllr Virginia Edwyn-Jones, will be reading the local proclamation of the Accession of HM King Charles III at 3pm, from the Town Hall balcony. Residents are invited to attend.

Verwood
The mayor of Verwood will make the proclamation at 3pm on Ferrett Green (near the flag poles). Everyone is welcome to attend.
Ringwood
The Mayor Cllr Gareth DeBoos will read the official proclamation of the King in Gateway Square.
Members of the public who wish to witness this historic occasion are invited to gather shortly before 2.30pm.
Fordingbridge
Fordingbridge Town Council is expecting to hold their Proclamation shortly after 2pm at the Town Hall. This will follow the county and district proclamations.
The Deputy Mayor of Fordingbridge, Cllr Patricia Earth, will read the proclamation.
A spokesperson said: “All are welcome to attend, please wear smart dark clothing / black tie.”
