CHERRY Tree Nursey will continue with its plant sale and autumn fayre this Saturday, September 17, as the nation is in a period of mourning.
A two-minute silence will be held at 11am for the Queen at the event in Northbourne, Bournemouth.
A statement said: “After careful consideration, following the sad death of our beloved Queen, we have decided to hold our Plant Sale and Autumn Fayre as planned on Saturday 17th September.
“We asked our volunteers for their thoughts and overwhelmingly they felt the late Queen would have wanted us to continue with the event which directly supports the work we do.”
A £100 Cherry Tree plant voucher and a £100 Brittany Ferries voucher is to be raffled off, as well as an alpaca walking adventure for two and a Knoll Gardens gift voucher.
The shop and nursery will be closed on Monday, September 19, as the late Queen is laid to rest.
