BOURNEMOUTH University and Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) have risen ranks in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide for 2023.
Bournemouth University has ranked 89th best nationally, up 17 places from last year. It is also 10th best university in the south west.
BU also has a completion rate of 82.9 per cent and students are 76.9 per cent likely to land a graduate job.
A Bournemouth University spokesperson said: “We are pleased to see that we are rising in this league table and will continue to focus on our student experience, research work, and contributions to the community to offer the best for our students, staff, partners and the local community.”
Meanwhile AUB has improved on one place for 2023 at 76. It ranked higher than BU in the south west region, as being the seventh best.
AUB vice-chancellor Professor Paul Gough said: “Arts University Bournemouth is pleased to see a rise in this year’s The Times Good University Guide, building on recent successes like our REF2021 research excellence rankings.
"We’re committed to offering a world-class student experience through our blend of cutting-edge facilities and innovative teaching and learning. Our research is recognised for its impact and relevance."
The guide includes profiles on 135 universities and the definitive UK university rankings, making use of the latest data published in the past two months.
The University of Bath came out on top in the south west and eighth nationally.
