AT last, a TV series that makes me laugh out loud - and that's just Jason Donovan's acting!
Seriously, if you thought Echo Beach would be a gritty new soap you'd be missing the point. The real star of this two-part concept is the prequel, Moving Wallpaper, which charts the scheming, agonising and writing of this new blockbuster' soap.
Ben Miller is superb as Jonathan Pope, the shallow, chauvinistic and totally non-PC producer brought in to make it all happen. Making small girls cry, lying to the stars and using the set budget to create his own wetroom are all in a day's work. Watching it again on DVD is a perfect way to catch some hilarious throway lines.
