RAIL passengers will face a weekend of disruption next month due to maintenance work.

The lines in the Southampton Central area will be closed all weekend for maintenance on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16.

Altered train services and buses replace trains in the Southampton Central area.

London Waterloo to Weymouth services will terminate at Southampton Central on the Saturday and Southampton Airport Parkway on the Sunday.

Winchester to Poole stopping services will not run on the Saturday.

Fast buses will run between Southampton Airport Parkway, Bournemouth and Poole on the Saturday.

On the Sunday, fast buses will run between Southampton Central, Christchurch and Bournemouth and between Eastleigh, Bournemouth and Poole.

A revised service will run between Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth on both days.

Brockenhurst to Lymington services will not run on either day.

Buses will run between Southampton Central and New Milton via Brockenhurst and Lymington on the Saturday and between Eastleigh and New Milton via Southampton Central, Brockenhurst and Lymington on Sunday.

CrossCountry services will be affected by the work all weekend.

Great Western Railway and Southern services will be affected on Sunday only.
