A MAN has appeared in court for having a pool cue in a public place in Bournemouth town centre.
Robert Newton was charged with having the offensive weapon in Old Christchurch Lane on July 19.
Newton, aged 33 and of Norwich Avenue West, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to the single allegation at a Poole Magistrates’ Court hearing on Thursday, September 15.
The defendant was issued with a 12-month community order, which included a requirement to carry out up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity requirement.
The bench also ordered that Newton pay £114 surcharge and £85 costs.
It was ordered that the pool cue be forfeited and destroyed.
