A TRAIN line is currently blocked due to a safety inspection of the track between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst.
The inspection of the track between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst means that the line towards Southampton is currently blocked.
Trains running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.
This is expected to last until around 9pm.
The affected route is the CrossCountry line between Bournemouth and Birmingham New Street/Manchester Piccadilly.
It also affects the South Western Railway route between Bournemouth and Basingstoke and between Poole/Bournemouth and Southampton Central/Winchester and also between Weymouth and London Waterloo.
Rail replacement transport has been requested to run on the following routes in both directions:
- Southampton Airport Parkway - Bournemouth (non-stop)
- Brockenhurst - Bournemouth (calling at all stations)
- Southampton Central - Bournemouth (calling at Sway, New Milton, Hinton Admiral, Christchurch and Pokesdown)
