THE majesty and solemnity of the Queen’s coffin procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall has been enormous.
Her Majesty lying-in-state with all-night queues to two miles long to pay last respects.
In whole lifetimes we have not known anything like this.
So deeply moving. Our Queen Elizabeth so deeply loved.
Personally it gives me hope in humanity.
An extraordinary Queen with a lifetime dedicated to duty. Other people first.
Treating all high or low with respect and dignity. Setting the finest of examples.
And this in a world where we so need good-will to all men and women.
So good to see the now Prince of Wales and Duke of Sussex joined together at this most solemn time. And for the now Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex to be together.
Isn’t this what we need in our world? People coming together in mutual respect.
I hope this is not lost on political leaders in UK and world-wide.
For all of us following Queen Elizabeth’s finest example what can we do to sow accord and harmony. Try and make a better world.
Be majestic in our own lives.
The end now of an epoch. Monday 19th September 2022 this country will come to a standstill. And much of the world.
National silence in our huge respect for Queen Elizabeth II.
Silence in our common humanity.
We are all mortal aren’t we. On our one planet.
