AN investigation has been launched over the “unexplained” death of a woman in Poole.
Police received a report at 10.41am on Monday, September 26, a woman had been found unresponsive at an address in Canford Heath Road in the Canford Heath area.
Officers attended along with the ambulance service.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and enquiries are taking place to identify the woman’s next of kin.
The coroner has been made aware.
A police investigation is taking place to establish the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Residents reported seeing forensics at the scene on Monday.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Dorset Police received a report at 10.41am on Monday 26 September 2022 that a woman had been found unresponsive at an address in Canford Heath Road in Poole.
“Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and very sadly the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the woman’s next of kin. The coroner has been notified.”
The spokesperson added: “An investigation is continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.”
