EMERGENCY gas works are underway on a key road in Ringwood which services the A31.
Temporary two-way traffic lights are currently situated in Eastfield Lane for urgent gas works being carried out by SGN.
Due to the closure of the B3347 Mansfield Road westbound slip onto the A31 during the major roadworks, Eastfield Lane houses the nearest available westbound slip along with the adjoining Southampton Road.
It is presently unknown what caused the emergency works to take place.
According to online traffic feeds, delays are expected to last until this evening.
