WITNESSES are sought after a woman received a serious eye injury following a reported town centre car park assault.
Dorset Police received a report at around 1.40pm on Saturday, September 24, that a woman had been found with a facial injury in Richmond Gardens car park in Bournemouth.
It was reported that the woman, aged in her 30s, had been assaulted by a man who was known to her.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious injury to her eye.
Detectives investigating the reported assault are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Constable Philip Riggs, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this assault and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has any information that might assist our investigation, to please make contact with us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
