THOUSANDS of people will take part in Run Bournemouth this weekend.

The big annual event will see children and adults take part in six races across Saturday and Sunday.

A number of road closures and restrictions will be in place during the event.

Here’s a list of the roads that will be affected and the measures that will be in force:

  • Southbourne Overcliff Drive, Bournemouth – temporary parking restriction between 11pm on Saturday, October 8 and 1pm on Sunday, October 9
  • Thornbury Road, Bournemouth – temporary parking restriction between 11.58pm on Saturday, October 8 and 3pm on Sunday, October 9
  • Sea Road, Bournemouth - temporary parking restriction between 11.58pm on Saturday, October 8 and 3pm on Sunday, October 9 
  • Southbourne Coast Road, Bournemouth - temporary parking restriction between 11.58pm on Saturday, October 8 and 1pm on Sunday, October 9
  • Dalmeny Road, Bournemouth - temporary parking restriction between 11.58pm on Saturday, October 8 and 1pm on Sunday, October 9 
  • Belfield Road, Bournemouth - temporary parking restriction between 11.58pm on Saturday, October 8 and 3pm on Sunday, October 9 
  • Harbour Road, Bournemouth - temporary parking restriction between 11.58pm on Saturday, October 8 and 3pm on Sunday, October 9 
  • East Overcliff Drive, Bournemouth - temporary parking restriction between 11.58p on Saturday, October 8 and 3pm on Sunday, October 9
