WET, windy and cooler conditions are on the way later this month, according to a Bournemouth forecaster.
DorsetSun has said it will become unsettled during the middle of October but things will turn sunnier towards the end of the month.
As next week goes on there will be an “increasing risk of windy and showery conditions".
Between October 15 and 22, Dorset Sun said: “Unsettled conditions are expected to dominate this period.
“We are likely to see plenty of showery and windy conditions, with a strong jet stream dominating the weather across southern England.
“It is also expected to be cooler than average with north westerly winds at times.”
Looking ahead to October 23 and 31, he said: “High pressure is likely to fight back for the end of the month as the Jet Stream retreats to the north of the United Kingdom.
“This means that we are likely to see the return of sunny conditions and lighter winds.
“Temperatures are also expected to recover around average.”
Overall, the weather expert said rainfall will be average or just below with temperatures around normal for the time of year.
