SECOND-HALF goals from Philip Billing and Ryan Christie saw Cherries wow prospective new owner Bill Foley with a 2-1 comeback victory over Leicester City.
Patson Daka’s opener put the Foxes in the box seat on the American businessman’s first appearance at Vitality Stadium.
But after Gary O’Neil’s side rolled the dice in the second half in front of the Las Vegas-based entrepreneur – they hit the jackpot and emerged victorious for the third time in the league this campaign.
Cherries gave a first start to Ryan Fredericks on his return to the side from injury, while Christie was also back in the starting XI.
Kieffer Moore and Jordan Zemura were the two players to drop to the bench. James Hill was left out of the hosts’ squad.
Leicester, fresh off their victory over Nottingham Forest on Monday, also made two changes.
Boubakary Soumare replaced the injured Wilfred Ndidi. Daka came in for Jamie Vardy, who dropped to the bench.
Cherries could have opened the scoring after just two minutes. Jefferson Lerma’s sweeping ball allowed Christie to run in on goal.
But having shifted the ball back onto his left foot, the Scotsman was dispossessed and the chance went begging.
And the hosts were punished after just 10 minutes. After Harvey Barnes’s shot was blocked, some pinball in Cherries’ box allowed Daka to turn and fire into the bottom corner.
O’Neil’s side looked to respond. Lewis Cook and Dominic Solanke exchanged passes with the latter seeing his strike blocked to safety.
The Foxes could have had a second midway through the half. Former Genk man Timothy Castagne’s run from right-back was not tracked, with his cross scrambled away by Neto with Daka sliding in.
Christie continued to pick the ball up in key areas. A neat turn from the Scotsman from Cook’s pass allowed him to send a low effort at goal - gathered by visiting stopper Danny Ward.
The hosts then saw a big shout for a penalty turned down. After Fredericks burst into the box, he went to ground under the challenge of Jonny Evans – but was instead booked for diving by referee Michael Salisbury.
Following the break, Cherries came close to levelling via a set piece. After Billing was brought down by Soumare – Marcus Tavernier’s free-kick hit the stanchion behind the goal.
Moments later, Christie’s cross from a short corner was headed into the path of Chris Mepham, who volleyed over.
But having turned the screw in the second half, Cherries found their leveller on 67 minutes.
After Solanke forced a mistake from defender Wout Faes, the ball eventually fell to Billing, who rifled into the back of the net despite a touch from Ward.
With their tails up, Cherries found a second just four minutes later.
After Billing’s cross was nodded down by Solanke, Christie was there to apply the final touch and net his first Premier League goal to send the home fans wild.
Jaidon Anthony tapped home for Cherries on the counter late on but was denied by an offside flag against Tavernier.
